Time Travels

My honey and I have been doing a bit of cleaning out. You know how those closets have a no-man's-land that hasn't seen the light of day for decades? Well, okay, maybe you don't - but I do, and it was like a treasure hunt! I saved EVERYTHING! Seriously, I have remnants of the last 46 years saved in word, picture, and artifact. I have baby teeth, locks of hair, baby shoes, bibs, letters, cards, tons of pictures, old film, negatives, journals, ribbons, gift cards, costume jewelry - well, you get the idea. It's crazy! I wish I'd labelled all the baby teeth and locks of hair. Some are anonymous - hmmm, decades have dulled memories. I've had to read every word. That has taken days, and it has stirred up lots of memories - not all of them pleasurable. Our present condition is amazing considering I didn't have a clue as to what I was doing for so many years! I'm most pleased with the journaling, and I wish I'd done even more. Reading those writings is like a little trip back in time. It's a mirror through which I can get a glimpse of that Phyllis from so many years ago. Sure wish I could get word to her. I'd tell to relax and enjoy life more each day. It'll all be fine - they'll all be fine, and someday you'll look back on all this living with a smile, yes - a tear, but a smile. Hugs!
